Overview

Zenith is seeking a Senior IT Business Systems Analyst to join our team in a client-facing capacity, providing dedicated IT administration and application support services to one of our key business partners in the insurance industry. This role will serve as an embedded technical resource, supporting the partner's Policy, Claims, and Billing systems through application administration, vendor liaison, and project oversight. The ideal candidate brings senior-level expertise in business systems analysis and a collaborative approach to delivering technology solutions on behalf of Zenith. 

 

Additionally, this partner is in Concord, New Hampshire. Ideally a remote candidate in the New Hampshire area that could go into the office periodically would be ideal, but we are open to remote or hybrid in either PA or NC

 

The Sr. IT Business Systems Analyst must elicit, analyze and synthesize information to in order to define and validate solutions that meet business needs, goals and objectives.  The Sr. IT Business Systems Analyst is responsible for completing analysis by performing various techniques with stakeholders.  The Sr. IT Business Systems Analyst must be capable of specifying and communicating requirements and recommended solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

Responsibilities

 

  • Analyze business needs and opportunities on complex business problems to drill into what is needed and why.
  • Ensure that the business and system requirements clearly describe the business need and the system capabilities required to fulfill the business need.
  • Document business and system requirements that describe the business need and what the system needs to do.
  • Demonstrate creativity and flexibility in the identification of options for addressing complex business problems.
  • Partners with business areas across delivery teams to ensure that new business requirements support and will improve their business.
  • Utilize all aspects of established methods and techniques (including intermediate to complex interviewing and questioning, facilitation of requirement elicitation, process modeling, business scenarios, use cases, gap analysis, logical data models, leading in JAD sessions/analysis swarming) used to complete business and system requirements analysis.
  • Perform data analysis investigation by querying application data using inner joins, outer joins and basic aggregations.
  • Partners with development to create functional designs for elements of significant risk and complexity.
  • Create mock ups for early validation with the customer, incorporating user experience.
  • Validate that design fulfills the business needs.
  • Translates complex business problems and create simplified communications that provides clarity, direction and ability to make decisions if needed.
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Work productively and harmoniously with others on a consistent basis.
  • Respond positively to direction and feedback on performance.
  • Consistently maintain professional and appropriate demeanor.
  • Perform other duties/projects as assigned.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of training/experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training/experience required

Work Experience

  • 5+ years experience in Business Systems Analysis required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Advanced understanding / demonstration of Analysis process and tools.
  • Demonstrates ability to negotiate options, resolve conflicts and influence others on complex topics.
  • Advanced written communication that is in terms consistent with the varied audiences.
  • Demonstrates advanced presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Prior experience with SharePoint, Jira, SQL Developer and Visio desired.
  • Basic database querying skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player, self-starter, motivated, and multi- task oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize work requirements.

Pay, Benefits, and Other Information

The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.
